The Workshop will be held in the seminar room at the fourth floor of
the Istituto di
Radioastronomia (IRA),
in the CNR
research area , in Via Piero Gobetti, 101.
The meeting will start at 10:00 on
24th Nov and end at 13:00 on 25th Nov.
How to get there
There is only one bus reaching the CNR area, the bus n. 87.
The easiest way to reach the CNR area from the central
station is taking the bus n. 87
from the stop XX
Settembre-Autostazione (see map here
and timetable) going to ROTONDA C.N.R..
To plan your travel by bus from your hotel to CNR, or in general in
Bologna, you can use this travel
planner.
Tickets can be purchased at:
- ATCittà Centres (one is outside the central station
in Piazza medaglie d'oro)
- Authorised points of sale (newspaper kiosks or
tobacconists)
From the main entrance of the CNR area, you go straight on, through a
covered walkway, where you find directions to the different Institutes.
In the hallway to IRA, take the elevator to the fourth floor. The
IRA institute is on your right hand
side after the two yellow doors. Go straigth on along the corridor, the
seminar room is the last
room in front of you.
Anyway, signs to the room will be provided.
How to attend the meeting remotely
A telecon/videocon system will be operating in the meeting room.
You need to have a connection system H323 or SIP with H239, or you can
download one of the free software Ekiga ,
X-lite or Xmeeting (for Mac).
Otherwise, in EVO it is possible to call
any
H323 or SIP client directly from Koala. See the instructions
here.
Videoconference system details can be found here.
Whichever is your connection system, please contact me, we will arrange
for a "test meeting" a few days before the actual one.

It will allow you to see both
slides and videoconf broadcasting selecting one of the quicktime or
windows media players.
